Newcomer Jarvis Hill said he wanted to be an impact player when he signed with ULM last spring. The newborn son of Kyondra Broadnax of Pine Hill, died November 9, 2008, in Selma. Survivors include his mother Viyondra Broadnax, Pine Hill; grandmother, Chandra Broadnax; great-grandmother, Elizabeth Young, Selma. A graveside service was Nov. 13 at Mt. Zion Baptist Cemetery in Pine Hill with the Rev. James G. Curry officiating. The Ware County Gators will have a little extra motivation when they suit up Friday for their second-round Class AAAA playoff game with Mount Zion-Jonesboro in Waycross.
